Mark de Groot-McKenzie

Mark is the person behind the "network" in Orange Network. As Head of Strategy and Partnerships he builds and looks after the relationships that let the firm do more than place a home loan or an insurance policy — lawyers, accountants, valuers, property people, and commercial specialists who can pick up the parts of a project we aren't meant to do ourselves.

His background spans retail mortgages, insurance, and commercial funding. He has sourced finance and risk solutions for clients taking on commercial projects, property development, and more complex lending, and previously worked as a mobile insurance adviser across Wellington — running needs conversations, looking after existing clients, and growing referral relationships.

If your goals go beyond a standard home loan, Mark is often the one making sure you are talking to the right people. We are not experts in every corner of a development or a business deal, and we don't pretend to be. Mark's job is to get you in front of the people who are, so the outcome still holds together.

He works with clients and partners across the Greater Wellington region and nationwide, and is happy to meet in person or online.
